Frederick Wayne Carter was born April 4, 1963 in
Brinkley, Arkansas to the care of his parents Homer
Lee Carter Sr. and Emma Mae Carter. He was
proceeded in death by his parents Homer & Emma
Carter, as well as his brothers; Albert Glen Craig,
Homer Lee Carter, Jr., Glendale Carter and a sister
Marissa Kay Carter.
Fred as we affectionately called him, attended
Brinkley High School and was employed by Johnson‘s
flying service in Brinkley, Arkansas, where he learned
to fly crop dusters. Fred left his hometown of
Brinkley in 1985 where he began his love of working
on cars for family, friends and anyone that asked. He
was known as Monkeywrench, since he kept a wrench
in his hand.
Fred accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized
as a member of the New Light Baptist MB Church in
Brinkley, Arkansas, where his mother taught Sunday
school. Fred could always find a reason and a way to
slip out of church while mother was teaching. Fred
never met a stranger, he was always willing to help
and laugh with everyone he met.
Fred’s memory will be held dearly by his daughter,
Shrea Craig(Lynn Sr.) his five sisters, Paula
Hines(Arthur), Debra K, Carter (Cynthia
Laster(Issac), Octavia Beverly(George), and Loretta
Carter. His grandchildren, Kamiaha Yancy, Kamesha
Yancy and Lynn Craig, Jr., his great-grands, Jakobe
Street and Zahir Bolden. He also leaves in memory a
special sister-cousin Effie Miller and a host of
cousins, nieces, nephews and so many family friends.
