Mr. Willie Coleman, Jr., age 83, of Little Rock, Arkansas, peacefully entered eternal rest on
February 23, 2026. He was born on September 7, 1942, in Rayville, Louisiana, to the late Willie
Coleman, Sr., and Bernice Coleman.
Willie received his education in Rayville, Louisiana, and later attended College Station School and

faithfully for many years until his retirement. His strong work ethic and commitment to providing
for his family were evident throughout his life.
At an early age, Willie accepted Christ and was baptized by the late Rev. Abraham Woodard of Mt.
Calvary Baptist Church in the Granite Heights community. He continued to profess his faith in God
through Jesus Christ throughout his life.
Willie was united in holy matrimony to the late Dorothy Akins Coleman, whom he loved dearly.
Their union was blessed with children and many cherished memories.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving children: Pamela Hopson, LaQuana Coleman,
and Kevin Coleman (Rosetta). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Antje Coleman, Railen Mason
Kendall Coleman, Maya Hopson and Kaivyn Coleman, and his favorite grandson, Orlando Meeckins.
He is also survived by his beloved siblings: Henry Coleman, Carl Coleman, Mary Hudson (Isaac),
Betty McClendon (Larry), Raymond Coleman, Travis Coleman, and Bridgette Honorable (Jeff); his

Willie was deeply loved by his family and cherished by his children and grandchildren. He was an
extraordinary storyteller and the family historian. He could captivate listeners for hours, sharing
vivid accounts and carefully preserving the history of the Coleman family from its early roots in
Louisiana to the present day. Willie possessed a remarkable gift for remembering birthdays, dates, and family milestones with
incredible accuracy. Whenever family members needed information about their heritage, they called
Willie. With his passing, a living library of family history has transitioned into eternity. Though his voice is
now silent, his stories, wisdom, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
